Shawn has been creating, managing, and assisting in the management of websites for various clients since the mid 90's - almost the beginning of the public internet boom. His past clients have included a wide variety of businesses, including The University Of Nebraska Computer Shop, The Nebraska Press Association, retail stores, professional cartoonists, photographers, radio stations, and more.
Below, you'll find several examples of current sites Shawn has created, currently manages, or currently assists in their management.
Snow-by-Night is a new online graphic novel, created by scifi, fantasy, and game story author Eric Menge.
Mr. Menge has worked has designed adventures, written web articles, and acted as a campaign administrator for the legendary Wizards of the Coast, as well as being an editor for Raging Swan Press.
Snow-by-Night is not the typical "online comic," in part, because of Shawn's online and offline advice.
When the story completes a chapter, each chapter will be able to ordered as a printed product, on-demand, with the entire series eventually available as a single graphic novel.

Around June of 2003, Bob Hall, a talented actor, writer, theatrical director, and cartoonist who has done work for Marvel Comics, D.C. Comics, and other smaller comic labels, sought Shawn out to redo his website.
As of October of 2009, Bob has a completely new website design, which allows him to update all of his content himself, including a blog on his front page.
The purpose of every website is not the same. With Mr. Hall, the primary purpose of his website has always been to generate jobs in cartooning, teaching, acting and directing for him.
In that vein, Bob's site has been highly
successful in the six years Bob has been one of Shawn's clients. Last year alone, Mr. Hall recieved several commissions, including work for Gene Simmons of Kiss as part of the ongoing KissKomics series, and a commission by the Governor Of Nebraska for the Children's Arts Council. Bob has also taught over the last year at schools/theatrical conservatories in Connecticut, New York, and Nebraska.
Currently, Bob is also in discussions once again with both D.C. and Marvel on further freelance work, as well as several other graphic novels and some commerical work.

For almost ten years, well-known Nebraska and midwestern political cartoonist, Paul Fell has chosen to work with Shawn, through the original design of his website, and several major and minor redesigns.
Paul
initially became a client of Shawn's during Shawn's time as the Chief Technology Consultant for the Nebraska Press Association in 2000. While the look and feel of Paul's website has always been initially designed by Paul, it's final look, feel, mechanics and technical abilities have all been designed and managed by Shawn to work with Paul's wants and needs.
Paul continues to work with Shawn, on his primary website, as well as on secondary projects, including the merchandising of HuskerNutz gear, and the Daily Felltoon e-mail.

Shawn's involvement in "The Daily Felltoon" has been extensive, since it's creation in 2008.
The Daily Felltoon is a weekday e-mail publication, initially designed to promote and deliver the cartoons of Paul Fell to his fans and friends. Over the course of two years, the publication has developed into a product that still satisfies it's initial goals, while having a much more broad scope.
In its current form, The Daily Felltoon now has at least two of Mr. Fell's cartoons in each edition. The publication also includes a well-researched commentary, primarily written by Shawn. The content of the commentary includes editorial influences from his chief client, Mr. Fell, as well as other professional staff members scattered across the country. Finally, The Daily Felltoon now also includes a large selection of cultured and aggregated links to news content, that heavily support the commentary and cartoon.
Throughout this daily process, Shawn manages the staff, coordinates communication, and sets the e-mail product for auto-publication through top e-mail marketing firm, Constant Contact.

For many small businesses, radio stations, and other media outlets, the downturn in the economy since 2007 has taken a huge bite out of their budgets for high-quality production, voiceover work, and copywriting.
For Josh Salmon, of Fish Outta Water Productions, it also gave him an opportunity to move his business forward, with a new website and new goals.
Since Shawn built the current website Josh and his company use, their business has grown, to include several small commerical and religious clients. When Josh speaks with potential clients, he proudly refers them to his website, which he says has helped both his exposure and his workload grow.
Feel free to check out what what Josh and his team can do, through the website Shawn designed for him, by clicking on the example here.
When the company Dave Phipps had contracted with to create a new website design fell short on their promises, Dave called Shawn, someone he's known for years through the National Cartoonists Society.
Within a month, Shawn was able to take the pieces of Dave's former website, and create a new website design that was exactly what Dave wanted.
The all new Phippsville.com includes
a Flash gallery of Dave's content that he can manage himself, through a special Content Management System (CMS), an audio gallery for some of his radio work, and an online newsletter that Dave can use to send his fans and contacts a weekly cartoon update, that keeps his name and style at the top of their freelance artist hiring list.

In the Fall of 2008, Shawn was approached by a new client, Lincoln (NE) photographer Nellie Smith (no relation) to create a website for her business, using a CMS designed by her developing and production lab.
In April of 2007, Shawn was given the task of moving four Clear Channel radio station websites off of their corporate CMS (Content Management System), and onto completely new systems, in under two months, due to a change in ownership.
Within two months, Shawn had created a temporary solution for all of the former CC-Lincoln sites, while working on a permanent solution with Liquid Compass, an online radio services company based in Denver, CO. By working with outside vendors, and assisting Liquid Compass to develop their next-generation CMS at an advanced rate, Shawn was able to build new websites for multiple stations with his web team, while upgrading other Three Eagle's sites that were hosted on a different CMS. All this was done while Shawn held down two airshifts on KTGL-FM, for eight hours, five days/wk.
By the beginning of September 2007, all of the stations that had been using temporary websites had new websites, with four of the cluster's six stations using a new CMS from Liquid Compass. For examples of the sites Shawn created for Three Eagles, click on the sample at left.
During his employment at Three Eagles, Shawn also advised the company that they should look at a long-term company-wide deal with any one of a number of online radio service vendors. As of January 2009, it appears that Three Eagles has continued to follow Shawn's advice even after releasing him, as they have entered into a new website agreement with Intertech, and have been changing over websites at multiple stations. Many of the elements they still use currently were originally created by Shawn for use on the Liquid Compass CMS.
